Happy LCC Appreciation Week!
Cultural Care Au Pair’s Local Childcare Coordinators have an incredibly important role. They serve as advisors, resources, mediators, coaches, mentors and friends to thousands of host families and au pairs across the country. While we appreciate the work that they do every day, each year we celebrate them during a very special LCC Appreciation Week! Please join us in celebrating our amazing LCCs by sharing your praise and appreciation for the support you receive from your LCC. Nothing could be more meaningful than hearing directly from you about how much you appreciate your Cultural Care Au Pair LCC.

I would like to thank Katrina Ohl for the incredible support she has given me and my family. We are in our second year of the program and have been very happy with our au pairs and the service that Katrina has provided. I can think of one example where I REALLY needed some advice from my Katrina - it was 8pm on a Sunday night - and I felt terrible for calling at that time but Katrina responded as she always does - with patience and great advice. Thank you Katrina! -

I would like to thank my LCC Nadja, she's here for me whenever I need her and a great support system. She gives great advice and it helps so much being an au pair previously herself, that she knows what I'm going through being in an unfamiliar environment. The HUGEST THANK YOU to Dave and Jinn Balchunas. They're amazing LCCs, I've never been in their group=(unfortunately..but I lived with them while in transition and consider them to be one of my host families!Their family is wonderful, i had such a good time with them. I never knew them and the first day I came I started feeling like I've been living with them forever. They have wonderful kids and they helped me soo much in finding a new family!I love them!

I would like to thank my LCC Maria Calabro in Simsbury Connecticut, for being just the best! For taking all of her 30 au pairs on a beach trip on a bus in the rain and still having such an awesome time. For all the help she has given me over the past 7 months its just been incredible, through transition and homesickness. I can call Maria at any time and she will always be there for me and for all for her au pairs. Thanks Maria You are the Best!!

First, I would like to thank my first LCC, Kristin Cushen, who was wonderful with me. She really helped me when I was in rematch, she hosted me in her house during the two weeks and I really appreciated that. She is a WONDERFUL person with a big heart. She does everything she can to help people. She has a great family and I miss them all!!
Now I have Sharon Thomas Parker as LCC since 2 months and she's great! She has a very big group and I don't know how she does but she manage that with lot of fun and a big smile. That's how I can describe Sharon, the smiling woman! Thanks for that and I hope we will have a lot of fun for those 9 months!-

I have had two excellent coordinators this year - Kathy Fratus and Nanda Landers. Kathy was always knowledgeable and responsive and planned great meetings for the au pairs. Nanda is always warm and friendly and I think has a great rapport with the au pairs.

I would like to thank the best LCC ever... Susie Carlson, from California... she was the most helpful person while I was there... I can't complain because I had a wonderful host family and I didn't have any kind of problem with them... but I can say she was always helping everyone, giving advice, trying to work for both sides -Au Pairs and Host families- I love her and I always will... thanks so much Cultural Care for giving us such an amazing person to be next to us holding our hands through the path!!!

First, I would like to thank Nadja Bregman Sola. She was my second LCC since i'm here. She supported me so much, during my first 6 months. She became a really good friend of mine and I was very sad, as she told us, that she can't be our LCC anymore. Thanks for everything you did for me Nadja :)

I want to express my unending gratitude to my two LCCs in Austin, TX. I was lucky enough to start the program with Jerri Brown, one of Cultural Care's finest. She ushered me through all of the trials, tribulations, and jubilations of my first year as a host mom. Her communication skills and peaceful demeanor are directly responsible for the fact that, three au pairs later, I am still with Cultural Care. And, consequently, with a new LCC--since Austin has become quite a market. My new LCC, Holly Edger. I was reluctant to let anyone attempt to fill Jerri's shoes, but Holly showed up with her own magic. She is the perfect combination of efficiency, calm, and understanding. I feel confident about my next year with an au pair. Thank you, Cultural Care, for attracting and selecting such talented women!

First I would thank my 1st LCC when I was in NYC, she is Jelena. She is really nice, and helped me a lot when I was in transition.
Then I would thank my current LCC---Jessica Wade. She is always ready to listen. When I missed home and had problems, she helped me out, gave me constructive suggestions and she always take the initiative to care my work and my life. She is not only LCC.
and, can i take this opptunity to thank my former PD----Melissa. My tansition went through 5 weeks, she really helped me a lot. Saying thanks to her is nowhere near enough.
without these 3 ladies, i cannot completely finish my au-pair year in the US. now i am gonna go back home in the middle of Sep. I will always miss them and remember their good gestures.-

I want to THANK my previous LCC: Jaroslava Slaninova (VA).
She is a really great person and LCC. Jarka gave me a lot of support ... that I even didn't expect. She was always there for me & for my family. Even when she was extremely busy with her 2nd job she always could find sm time to help me!
It's not a lot of people who cares about u here, who is ready to help u, who is ready to trust u ... and she is one of them!
She gave me a place to sleep at when I had a rematch, she gave me her friendship and probably the most wonderful feeling that I'm welcome in her house :)

I'd like to thank Melinda Caluori from North bend WA for being such an amazing LCC and wonderful person.
I've done this program twice and had 4 LCC's during that time and Melinda is one who will stick in my memories for a long time after i'm home.
She tries to make our meetings fun experiences, which can be hard with such a small group, she is always there whenever i have a question whether it be about the educational component, visa reentry issues or something my AP friends don't feel comfortable going to their LCC's about.
Melinda always goes above and beyond anything i've ever asked of her and i'm so glad she's my LCC for my 21 months over here.

Our LCC is Anne Weisskopf, in Potomac, MD, and she is perhaps the best LCC ever. She is a wonderful support to both the host family and au pair. Anne is supportive and attentive to all the little issues that come up and has a ton of experience is solving them easily. She's very professional but also so nice to be with, so it's more like she's part of our extended family. i have to say, it's rare to find someone who can do their job as well as Anne. I really mean that. If there is an award for this type of performance in CCA, I would be her # 1 supporter for it.

I would like to show appreciation for my LCC Kathleen Lonergan for all the support she has offered me over the 7months that I have been in the States. Kathleen was there there for me when I found myself in a bad situation and I was touched to see her involvement and the amount she cared. I will always be grateful for that support. I dont think the word thank you is enough... it goes without saying how much of time and effort is put into being the best LCC.
A lcc's job can come with alot of mixed emotions,having fun with us au pairs but at the same time dealing with the trials and tribulations we face...

From the beginning on my LCC took good care of me and was always here for everyone in my group.
She is not just loving and helpful...she is really taking her job serious and wants to be our friend and listens to our problems. We know we can talk to her and ask for advice and she does all she can to halp.
I also enjoyed the Aupair meetings with her. They were always extraordinary and creative and a good chance to get to know the people in your area- especially in the beginning i was happy to be invited and itroduced to all the other Aupairs.
Over all i just want to THANK my LCC who always made me feel supported and never alone.

she is lovely and patient and ever so supportive. she takes time out to listen and she genuinely cares. she is reliable and punctual. need i say more. she always comes thru with what she promises and if its something she is unsure of she is always sure to try and find out what the rite answer is. SHE IS ALSO VERY HONEST.
I could never ask for a beta LCC than cassie. she is the most awesome lcc and has made my stay in usa enjoyable!

At the last meeting, I said to my friend au pair and my LCC Jane that when I arrived at my Training School in New York, the other LCC received me with great news that my LCC was a wonderful person and I would be happy to have her as my LCC in Ohio, and guess what .... Now I know!
I think that now is time tell you, I've been here for a little over 4 months and I can only say ..... My LCC is the best, I feel fortunate that Jane Patterson is my LCC, she always has the right words to advise each of the au pair, Jane... thank you very much for being so special and so sweet, I love you!-

I had a very difficult start, but she was always there for me and welcome me in her family so niceliy. I am very sad to lose her when I will leave to me new fam in a new State. I want everybody to know how sweet is our LCC Jean Ann Bjonfalt from Minnesota. She is always there when we need her. She have always the best advice and she is so suporting. I love the fact that she does not care ONLY about the au pairs from her own group but she's also tryng to help every au pair in all over the US if someone asks her help. I have been here a year now and she have made me feel like I'm part of the family in her house. I love that she understands when there is something wrong with us and she listen and give us advice. She is way too nice person and she desirve to be aprisiated. -

when I stared my au pair process one of my fears was feeling alone here without somebody to help me, but was too different I found here a wonderful person, good listener, lovely, a person who always have a big smile on her face, she always find the correct words, always with the all energy... the only thing that I can say is Jane has been a blessing for this group of au pairs and we are really grateful to find her in our way...-

Stephanie Morrison in Fairfield has been an outstanding LCC for our family and for all of our au pairs for 4 years now. She does great programs with the girls, really supports the families, and strikes a great balance. We have had some tough transitions and she has always gone above and beyond to help us AND the exiting au pairs find the right situation!
Plus, she's wicked smart and funny. And I adore her. -

Our LCC, Kerry Quick is great to work with, very patient, and very down to earth. When we've called her asking for info or advice, she has been great about getting us answers to questions that come up once in a while, that are not addressed in the official books!. Our first aupair experience was rather unpleasant to say the least, and were it not for Kerry we were ready to quit the program there and then. I'm glad she convinced us to stay, as she literally held our hands, on selecting the next candidate (Who has turned out to be the best aupair in the world!!!!). Her experience as a host mom, was invaluable, and for that we are truly grateful, that she is and she continues to be our LCC. Thanks Kerry for all you do. Jane M
